Used to allow Dewesoft TedEditor to detect devices.

iButton OneWire Driver Installation

The iButton OneWire Driver is required for Dewesoft TedEditor to properly detect and communicate with connected devices that use OneWire technology. Without this driver, TedEditor may fail to recognize sensors or calibration modules.

Purpose

This driver enables Dewesoft software to interface with devices through the OneWire communication protocol, commonly used for iButton devices and other temperature or ID sensors.

Installation Steps

  1. Visit the official Analog Devices download page:
? iButton OneWire Driver – Analog Devices

  2. https://www.analog.com/en/resources/evaluation-hardware-and-software/1-wire-sdks/viewer.html

  3. Download the 1-Wire SDK or Viewer package (includes the required driver).

  4. Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts.

  5. Once installed, restart your computer.

  6. Launch Dewesoft TedEditor again to confirm device detection.

Troubleshooting

  • If the device still isn’t detected, try connecting it to a different USB port.

  • Verify that the driver appears under Device Manager → Universal Serial Bus Controllers → iButton OneWire Adapter.

  • Reinstall if necessary.
